Course walking at 12 first dog on the line at 12:30 Information for FCI Regulations PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL DOGS ARE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER LEVELS FOR ENTRY: FCI holds Agility and Jumping (not Agility Contact and Agility Non- Contact) therefore: • FCI AGILITY – is similar to our KUSA AGILITY CONTACT • FCI JUMPING – is similar to our KUSA AGILITY NON CONTACT HOWEVER: The Categories and Grades for both FCI AGILITY and FCI JUMPING are the same as those used for KUSA Agility: Small, Medium and Large – grades (Levels) 1, 2 and 3 in each size category. COMPETITION: International & National INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: This is only for dogs/bitches that have a Kusa Pedigree Certificate (Only for Pedigreed dogs on the Breed Register) “CACIAG – awarded only to International winner of agility competition. No CACIAG awarded in Jumping KUSA QC – awarded as per normal KUSA rules. International dog may be awarded both the CACIAG and QC All entries into International Competition get automatic entry into the National Competition. NATIONAL COMPETITION: This is for all dogs/bitches whether pedigreed or non-pedigreed. All dogs/bitches must have a Kusa registration no. Please note: All entrants will only have to run ONCE in Agility and ONCE in Jumping on the day. That is, those Pedigree dogs that have entered into the National and International competition will only run in the International competition. On completion of judging, the office will then slot in the times and results of the Pedigreed dogs who, entered into the National competition, from the results of their runs in the International competitions and only after the completion of judging will the Winners Announcements be made. REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY INTO BOTH INTERNATIONAL & NATIONAL COMPETITIONS: • All Dogs/Bitches are required to have some form of identification (either a micro chip or a tattoo) which must be reflected on the entry form. • Owners of Exhibits are required to be a member of a Club affiliated to Kusa. • Dogs coming from or going to a region infected with Rabies must have a valid inoculation certificate against Rabies. DOGS/BITCHES NOT ELIGIBLE FOR COMPETITION ARE: • Pregnant Bitches • Dogs/bitches that are apparently ill or hurt • Doped dogs/bitches. CERTIFICATES: C.A.C.I.A.G - CERTIFICATE – This award is available in the International Agility class only, to the winner of Grade 3 in each height category (small, Medium, Large). The C.A.C.I.A.G can only be awarded to exhibits that has been graded “EXCELLENT” with a clear round and upon ratification by FCI Title of "International Agility Champion" Are eligible to apply for the title of "International Agility Champion" (S-M-L) any dog registered with a stud book recognized by the FCI which will have earned:  2 CACIAG in two different countries under 2 different judges over a minimum period of one year and one day  The grading "Good" (at least) in a show sanctioned by the FCI Every country will propose to the FCI its candidates for the title of International Agility Champion and will provide the relevant documents. Handlers to note: Walking of courses – handlers are expected to be at their ring when called in order to ensure the timeous running of the shows. This may mean that handlers have to walk more than one course before competing with their dog in either/all of the rings. Running order – pre-draws will be done and posted on the notice boards. If you miss your running order, you will run at the end of the class. This must be pre-arranged with the judge and a valid reason must be given for missing the slot. Please do not approach the tables for information on running orders.

OVERALL PRIZES: R2,000 over all prize for all six Agility Championship Shows 27th April – 30th April 2023 for Grade 3 Contact and Non-Contact Agility combined (Large, Medium, Intermediate and Small). Note that the FCI show is included in this. R1500 over all prize for Dog Jumping (Gr 1 Small, Medium & Large combined) Best Novice Agility (Large, Medium, Intermediate and Small combined) and Best Dog Jumping (Large, Medium and Small combined) NOTE: To ensure that Judges and Show Managers are not penalised for giving up their time to officiate, scores will be worked out as a percentage of shows that handlers/officials are able to enter according to KUSA/FCI regulations. Compensation will not be granted for handlers/officials who are able to enter but chose not to. PIE DAY – Pie day is Friday. All competitors will receive a warm pie and drink at lunchtime. There will even be the odd herbivore pie. LASAGNA – Lasangna will be served at the KUSA NATIONALS price giving on Saturday evening. ICECREAM DAY – Ice Cream day is Sunday. All competitors will receive a cup of ice cold ice cream at lunchtime. Only Members of the Kennel Union shall be entitled to enter dogs in their registered ownership in any Championship Dog Show licensed by the Kennel Union. This show is held under the Rules & Regulations of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa. All exhibitors are personally responsible for the control of their dogs at all times and shall be personally liable for any claims which may be made in respect of injuries which may arise or be caused by their dogs. All dogs must be on a lead at all times unless otherwise instructed by the Judge. The Committee reserves the right to appoint alternative Judges. No animal other than an exhibit entered for competition or exhibition shall be allowed on the grounds with the exception of registered guide dogs. No 'Registration applied for' or 'Transfer applied for' entries will be accepted. There will be no refunds on entry fees for incorrect submission of any information. Entries without payment will not be processed. No late entries will be accepted. Bitches in season are allowed in Dog Jumping & Agility. Exhibit numbers can be collected from the show office on the day of the show.
