Challenges: German Shepherds GRADED SHOW Mr Imran Husain is a German Shepherd Specialist judge fully qualified to award gradings and give critiques in line with the requirements for a German Shepherd Specialist show. GSDs will be judged in a separate ring on the Upper Field upon completion of the Herding breeds on Saturday 28 May 2022. On the day of the Show, dogs entered in the Open Class (24months +) must provide proof of HD/ED certification to obtain an ‘Excellent’ Grading. Microchip Numbers of all dogs entered must be specified on the Show Entry Form. Microchips will be scanned prior to exhibition. Best of Breed, Best Baby Puppy, Best Puppy, Best Junior, Best SA Bred & Best veteran go forward to compete in the Working Group finals on Sunday 29 May 2022 commencing at 08h30 on the lower field in the Working Ring.

No Groups judged on Saturday The KUSA CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW is the Qualifying Show for participation at Crufts 2023 (at exhibitors’ own expense). All CC and BoB winners qualify. 28 MAY Breed judging commences immediately on completion of KUSA Winners Show “In-Shows” but not before 10h30. GERMAN SHEPHERD DOGS (Grading Show) will be judged on the Top Field following Herding. No Groups judged on Saturday. All winners of Best of Breed, Best Baby Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Breed, Best Junior in Breed, Best SA Bred in Breed and Best Veteran in Breed return on Sunday morning for Group judging, starting at 08h30. 29 MAY KUSA Championship Show Group judging commences 08h30 with all Groups. Best in Group judged first followed by Best Baby Puppy, Best Puppy, Best Junior, Best SA Bred and Best Veteran. KUSA Championship Show “In-Show” judging commences immediately on completion of all Groups. Best in Show judged first, followed by Best Baby Puppy, Best Puppy, Best Junior, Best SA Bred and Best Veteran. Breed Classes: Minor Puppy (6 – 9 months), Puppy (9 – 12 months), Junior (12 – 18 months), Graduate (18 – 24 months), SA Bred, Veteran (7 years+), Open, Champions, Baby Puppy* (4 – 6 months) (*Baby Puppies are not eligible for CC or BoB and are judged after all other Breed Classes and BoB) Order of Judging: KUSA Championship Show Breed: Best of Breed, Best Puppy in Breed, Best Junior in Breed, Best SA Bred in Breed, Best Veteran in Breed, Best Baby Puppy in Breed, followed by Baby Puppy Dog and Bitch Classes and Best Baby Puppy in Breed. Groups: Best in Group, Best Baby Puppy in Group, Best Puppy in Group, Best Junior in Group, Best SA Bred in Group, Best Veteran in Group. CAMPING Will not be permitted. BENCHING Benching will be permitted from 15h00 on Wednesday, 26 May 2022, provided the rings are set up. Emergency areas must be kept clear at all times. These areas will be demarcated with hazard tape and also indicated on the Ring Plan. No gazebos or benching allowed in emergency areas. PHOTOGRAPHS All exhibitors, handlers and owners of dogs are advised that they and any exhibit entered in any event over the KUSA Classic Weekend may be photographed for, by, or on behalf of, KUSA, for the use and possible publication of such photograph by KUSA. MEDIA The KUSA website and KUSA Classic 2022 Facebook Group Page are the only communication media officially recognised by the Show Committee. Due to time constraints, no posed photography will be permitted in the Main Ring. A special area for the taking of photographs will be provided outside the ring. CATERING Public catering will be provided at all Shows and events. Please take note of the following: • Only dogs with KUSA Registration Numbers or current Foreign Dogs Clearance Certificates are eligible to enter these Shows. • Only Members of the KUSA shall be entitled to enter dogs in their registered ownership in these Shows. • The mating or whelping of bitches within the precincts of any Show is forbidden. • Bitches in season may only be shown in Breed Classes at all events and exhibitors must exercise due consideration towards other exhibits. • No animal other than an exhibit entered for competition or exhibition shall be allowed on the grounds, with the exception of registered guide dogs. • No late entries will be accepted. • The Show Committee reserves the right to allocate to Open Class any dog entered in a Class for which it is not eligible, or entered in a Class not listed on the Show Schedule, or where no Class is entered on the Entry Form. • No refunds of entry fees will be made for any errors whatsoever made by the owner/exhibitor. • The Show Committee reserves the right to appoint alternative Judges; re-allocate breeds and advise all exhibits entered; or adjust the judging times prior to the Show should the appointed Judges be unable to officiate, or receive too large, or too small, an entry. • Order of Breed judging for the Championship Shows is in alphabetical order in accordance with Schedule 2 Appendix “A”, unless otherwise indicated on this Show Schedule.
