DEFINITION OF THE TESTS: Novice Shooting Dog (NSD) is for Weimaraners and HPR Breeds older than 6 (six) months. The Novice Shooting Dog Test needs to be passed before any other tests are attempted Novice Retrieving Dog (NRD) is for Weimaraners and HPR Breeds older than 6 (six) months that have passed the Novice Shooting Dog Test Shooting Dog (SD) is for Weimaraners and HPR Breeds older than 6 (six) months that have passed the Novice Shooting Dog Test Retrieving Dog (RD) is for Weimaraners and HPR Breeds older than 6 (six) months that have passed the Novice Shooting Dog and Novice Retrieving Dog Tests Shooting Dog Excellent (SDX) is for Weimaraners and HPR Breeds older than 6 (six) months that have passed the Shooting Dog Test Retrieving Dog Excellent (RDX) is for Weimaraners and HPR Breeds older than 6 (six) months that have passed the Retrieving Dog Test HPR breeds other than Weimaraners may enter the above tests but cannot be placed for any of the prizes or receive the affix on their pedigrees (where the dog is KUSA Registered) | |||

PRIZES: Best Shooting Dog on the Day Best Retriever on the Day Best Dog on the Day CATERING: Because we get the use of the venue for free, we are required to make use of the catering and cash bar for the day. Therefore we require each handler of a dog to also pay for lunch. Cost of the catering on the day will be R150 per person, which will include lunch (with pudding), coffee and sandwiches on arrival and a 500ml bottle of water for each handler Payment for lunch needs to be included with the entries. Also mark on the entry form how many people will be booking lunch (bottom right of the form where it says Lunch). Proof of Payment should be sent along with the entry form(s). RULES FOR THE SHOOTING RATINGS: Bitches in season within the precincts of the Shooting Ratings are forbidden. Castrated dogs and spayed bitches are eligible for entry. Only those dogs actually taking part in the current test being judges are allowed at the test. The Regulations relating to licensing and to all other matters to do with Field Trials as set in Schedule 3 (Championship Breed Shows) and Schedule 4 (Non-Championship Breed Shows) of the Constitution of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa shall apply to Field Trials so far as they can be relevant to Field Trials and so far as they do not conflict with the specific terms of Schedule 5C(4). A copy of the rules will be available at the Ratings. Anyone on the venue at a Trial openly impugning the decision of a Judge or Judges shall render himself liable to be reported to KUSA under the provisions of KUSA Schedule 1. Conditions attracting immediate disqualification are set out in Regulation 31 of Schedule 3 of KUSA Regulations for Championship Shows (with exception of clauses 31.3.4, 31.3.6 and 31.3.14). If the club considers the weather and/or venue unfit for the holding of the Shooting Ratings, the meeting may be held at a different venue or date. If the Shooting Ratings should be cancelled, entry fees will be refunded. The Field Trial Committee reserves the right to change the advertised venue of the Shooting Ratings if this becomes necessary due to fire, flooding, etc, at the time of the event. KUSA must be informed on the first working day after the Shooting Ratings If an advertised Judge is prevented from filling his/her engagement for either the whole or part of the Shooting Ratings the Field Trial Committee shall have the right to appoint another Judge. JUDGES HAVE FINAL DECISION. Where the Rule or Guide does not cover a particular situation, the decision will remain with the appointed Judges on the day. LIABILITY: The Committee will exercise all reasonable care in conducting the Shooting Ratings, but it must be clearly understood that, due to the nature of the sport, competitors, spectators and officials are invited to enter at their own risk and in so doing absolve the Club, Committee and Landowners from any claim whatsoever arising from loss or damage by, or to, any person or property during the course of the trials. Please note that in terms of Regulation 5.9 of Schedule 3 of the KUSA Constitution, as applied through Schedule 5C(4) Weimaraners, the following notice to exhibitors is a requirement of the KUSA public liability insurance: | |||
