Classes and Grades: Minor Puppy (correctly inoculated 4-6 months), Puppy (6-9 months), Junior (9-18 months), Intermediate (15-24 months), Open (15+ months), Working * (15 months+), Champions (all ages as on date of show), Veteran (8+yrs) *Working Class - qualification to be attached to entry form. Minimum qualification: Only for thos breeds which require a Working Dog Qualification as per FCI.

STARTING TIMES - NO GROUPS JUDGED ON SATURDAY 28 May 2020 (Thursday) - Breed judging only 11h00 - Breed judging only. All Breeds by group in order as listed on the FCI Schedule. 29 May 2020 (Friday)All Group and Best in Show judging 08h00 - Group 1 followed by Groups 7 & 8 08h00 - Group 6 followed by Group 3 08h-00 - Group 5 followed by Groups 10 & 4 08h30 - Group 2 & 9 Best in Show upon completion of all Groups Eligibility for CACIB Only dogs/bitches (over 15 months of age on the day of the show) graded "Excellent", awarded 1st place from the Intermediate, Open, Working Dog or Champion Classes. If the dog awarded CACIB is already an International Champion, the CACIB may revert to the Res. CACIB winner. Owner to apply to KUSA - see website. Eligibility for Best of Breed CACIB dog, CACIB Bitch, Best Junior Dog, Best Junior Bitch, Best Veteran dog and Best Veteran Bitch (all graded Excellent) Eligibility for Best Minor Puppy and/or Best Puppy Puppies placed 1st with a "promising" grading Certificates & Grading - Breeds will be judged per FCI Breed Standards. CAMPING: Enquiries contact Tim Larthe de Langladure 083 260 9668 - R50 per person per night. No Open fires will be permitted. BENCHING: Will be permitted from 14h00 on Wednesday, 27 May 2020, provided the rings are set up. Emergency areas must be kept clear at all times. These areas will be demarcated with hazard tape and also indicated on the ring plan. No gazebos or benching allowed in emergency areas. CATERING: will be provided at all the shows and events. PHOTOGRAPHY: All Exhibitors, handlers, owners are advised that they and any exhibit entered in any event over the KUSA Classic Weekend may be photographed for, by or on behalf of KUSA for the use and possible publication of such photographs by KUSA. A special area for the taking of photographs will be provided. MEDIA: The KUSA website and KUSA classic 2020 Facebook Group are the only advisory media officially recognised by the Show Committee. Bitches in season may be shown in Breed and exhibitors must exercise due consideration towards other exhibitors. No animal other than an exhibit entered for competition or exhibition shall be allowed on the grounds, with the exception of registered guide dogs. FCI RULES The FCI Show is held under the Rules of the FCI, following special notes regarding this as below: The dog's welfare must be of utmost priority at all dog shows The FCI Show is judged according to the FCI Breed Standards. Double entries and late entries (after the closing date) are not permitted. No transfer by an exhibitor of a dog from one Class to another is permitted after closing date. The Reserve CACIB is awarded to the second best dog which was given the qualification "Excellent" from the eligible Classes. Thedog placed second in the Class from which the CACIB winner was awarded may compete for the Reserve CACIB, if awarded an "Excellent"grading. It is not compulsory to award the Reserve CACIB. The Best Junior, CACIB Winner and the Best Veteran from both sexes, if awarded an "Excellent" grading, will compete for the Best of Breed (BOB). The Judge must also choose the best exhibit from the opposite sex (BOS) next to the BOB Winner. If a dog behaves aggressively in the ring (breed-group-finals) and its behaviour is eye-witnessed by the Judge on the duty, the latter must submit a report for the attention of the organising committee and must disqualify the dog for the rest of the competition. All awards and titles of the day are consequently cancelled. Where FCI Regulations are not covered then KUSA Schedule 3 shall take effect. Please keep the grounds and bathrooms clean. When exercising your dogs, please clean up after them. Do not leave it for others or the ring stewards to do.
