Regulations & Disclaimers:
Bitches in season are forbidden within the precincts of the trial. Castrated, cryptorchid and monorchid dogs and spayed bitches are eligible for entry but not for placings. The Judges decision is final. Before acceptance of an entry, it will be required of each competitor to complete and sign the Club's indemnity form prior to the field trial. LIST OF PRIZES 1st - Gold Medal 2nd - Silver Medal 3rd - Bronze Medal Certificates of merit where decided by the Judge Should the need arise, the Field Trial Steward will convene a panel consisting of three committee members who are also qualified judges (Panel A followed by Panel B, if necessary) to assist Trial Judges with any decision or to handle any protest. The first pair of dogs must be presented to the judges at 07h30 sharp on the day of the event and the second pair must be kept within reasonable distance of outgoing handlers. Any dogs not ready to compete within 15 minutes of being called in for their turn will be liable for disqualification and forfeiture of entry fees. The system of judging will be entirely at the discretion of the judges in accordance with the Field Trial Rules and Regulations for HPR Breeds as set out in Schedule 5C(3) of the Constitution of KUSA. The judges concentrate on finding the performers best equipped to perpetuate the qualities of a high class gun dog - having nose, bird sense, intelligence, style and accuracy of location, with finding ability; steadiness to flush and shot and with the ability to acknowledge its opponents finds; and quick and expeditious retrieves of shot game delivered tenderly to hand. Members are requested to introduce friends and all spectators must submit to the orders of the officials and keep at least forty meters to the rear of the judges. Under no pretext are dogs allowed to run loose over the grounds prior to the trials. The owner of the dog so found will be liable to have his dog disqualified and his entry fee forfeited. All complaints made constitutionally will receive due consideration. THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES WILL BE FINAL IN ALL EVENTS The Committee will exercise all reasonable care in conducting the trials, but it must be clearly understood that, due to the nature of the sport, competitors, spectators and officials are invited to enter at their own risk and in so doing absolve the Club, Committee and Landowners from any claim whatsoever arising from loss or damage by, or to, any person or property during the course of the trials. Please note that in terms of Regulation 5.9 of Schedule 3 of the KUSA Constitution, as applied through Schedule 5C(1) Retrievers, the following notice to exhibitors is a requirement of the KUSA public liability insurance: RIGHT OF ADMISSION RESERVED
