Dr M.F. Winter (recvd 24/11/17) Entered 29, present 4 & exhibited 25, This was a 2 half day Field Trial for pointing dogs, which commenced at 14h00 on 12/05/17 and was concluded at 14h35 on 14/05/17. This was a well-run Field Trial that was a resounding success in all respects.

ENTRY RULES: All persons attending the trials must consider themselves absolutely under the control of the officials. These trials will be conducted under the KUSA Constitution and Show Regulations Schedule 3 and Field Trial Regulations Schedule 5(c) HPR. A copy of these regulations will be available at the venue. In terms of section 5(c) regulations: Bitches in season within the precincts of the trial are forbidden. Castrated dogs and spayed bitches are eligible for entry, but not for placings. Only dogs taking part in the Field Trials are allowed at the venue. The judge's decision is FINAL Anyone taking part in the Field Trial, who openly questions the decision of the Judge/s, shall render himself liable to be reported to the Field Trial Liaison Council of KUSA. All dogs must be registered with KUSA, or a KUSA recognised Registry, before entry. Anyone taking part in the trial who openly impugns the decision of the Judges shall render himself liable to be reported to the KUSA. The Field Trial Committee reserves the right to itself to abandon the Meeting at any time, of returning their entry monies to the competitors and if, from unforeseen circumstances, it deems it advisable to alter the date of the Meeting after the closing of the entries, this may be done by sending formal notice to competitors that they may recover their entry fees within four days formthe date of such notice. All entries, however, about which no such application is made within four days, will stand for the Meeting at its altered date. If an advertised Judge is prevented from filling his engagement for either the whole or part of the Meeting, the Field Trial Committee shall have the right to appoint another Judge. The Committee reserves the right to change the advertised venue of the trials should this become necessary. All dogs born on or after the 1st September 2010 must have a microchip certificate. Conditions attracting immediate disqualification are set out in Regulation 31 of Schedule 3 of K.U.S.A. Regulations for Championship Shows. NATURE OF TRIAL: Dogs will be expected to hunt and handle any legal game, whether fur or feather, that may be encountered during the course of the trial. The system of judging will be entirely at the discretion of the judges in accordance with the Field Trial Rules and Regulations for HPR breeds as set out in Schedule 5(c) of the Constitution of KUSA. The judges concentrate on finding the performers best equipped to perpetuate the qualities of a high class gun dog - having nose, bird sense, intelligence, style and accuracy of location, with finding ability; steadiness to flush and shot and with the ability to acknowledge its opponents finds, and quick and expeditious retrieves of shot game delivered tenderly to hand. ________________________________________ LIABILITY: The Committee shall exercise all reasonable care in conducting this trial, but it must be clearly understood that, due to the nature of the sport, competitors, spectators and officials are invited to enter at their own risk and in doing so absolve the C.F.T.C. Committee and Landowners from any claim whatsoever arising from loss or damage by or to any person or property during the course of the Trial. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR DOGS ARE FULLY INOCULATED INCLUDING PROTECTION AGAINST RABIES.
