The Field Trials were smoothly run under a competent committee. At no time did I witness any participant abuse their dog. All game was kept watered and fed until required M. Rose
Regulations & Disclaimers:
PRIZES: Floating Trophies for winners of Stakes and for guns' Choices. Other prizes and certificates for places and special prizes may be awarded. REFRESHMENTS, CATERING AND ACCOMMODATION: Meals in the form of light breakfasts and lunches will be on sale to Competitors and Spectators. The meal request form is attached. Liquid refreshments will be available throughout the trial. Competitors must please arrange their own accommodation at venues in the Barrydale area. 1.All persons attending the trials must consider themselves absolutely under the control of the Officials. 2. All dogs must be registered with KUSA before entry. Bitches in season within the precincts of the Trial are forbidden. 3. Castrated dogs and spayed bitches are eligible for entry. 4. Only those dogs actually taking part in the Field Trials are allowed at the venue. 5. The Regulations relating to licensing and to all other matters to do with Field Trials as set in Schedule 3 (Championship Breed Shows) and Schedule 4 (Non-Championship Breed Shows) of the Constitution of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa shall apply to Field Trials so far as they can be relevant to Field Trials and so far as they do not conflict with the specific terms of this Schedule 5C(1). A copy of the rules will be available at the trials. 6. Anyone on the venue at a Trial openly impugning the decision of a Judge or Judges shall render himself liable to be reported to KUSA under the provisions of KUSA Schedule 1, unless he is availing himself of Section A.10.3, of Schedule 5C(1). 7. Conditions attracting immediate disqualification are set out in Regulation 31 of Schedule 3 of KUSA Regulations for Championship Shows (with exception of clauses 31.3.4, 31.3.6 and 31.3.14). 8. If the club considers the weather and/or venue unfit for the holding of a Trial, the meeting may be held at a different venue or postponed from day to day until the end of the week, when the stakes that are not decided upon may be abandoned and the entry fees refunded, or a fresh draw may be made and a fresh date fixed for the abandoned stakes. 9. The Field Trial Committee reserves the right to change the advertised venue of the Trials if this becomes necessary due to fire, flooding, etc, at the time of the event. KUSA must be informed on the first working day after the field trials 10. If an advertised Judge is prevented from filling his engagement for either the whole or part of the field trial, the Field Trial Committee shall have the right to appoint another Judge. 11. All dogs born on or after 1st September 2010 must have a microchip certificate. 12. JUDGES HAVE FINAL DECISION. Where the Rule or Guide does not cover a particular situation, the decision will remain with the appointed Judges on the day. LIABILITY: The Committee will exercise all reasonable care in conducting the trials, but it must be clearly understood that, due to the nature of the sport, competitors, spectators and officials are invited to enter at their own risk and in so doing absolve the Club, Committee and Landowners from any claim whatsoever arising from loss or damage by, or to, any person or property during the course of the trials. Please note that in terms of Regulation 5.9 of Schedule 3 of the KUSA Constitution, as applied through Schedule 5C(1) Retrievers, the following notice to exhibitors is a requirement of the KUSA public liability insurance:
