The Draw will take place on Saturday 18th 2017, 12h00 at Mrs J. Barret's home, 11 Mineraal St, Jukskei Park, Randburg PUPPY STAKES: is for Retriever from 6 months and not exceeding 12 months of age, dating from and inclusive of the date of its birth on the first day of the trial. JUNIOR STAKES: is for Retriever from 6 months and not exceeding 18 months of age, dating from and inclusive of the date of its birth on the first day of the trial. MAIDEN STAKES: is for Retriever that have not placed in a previous Novice or Open Stakes nor have won a Maiden Stakes prior to the closing date of the entries for that particular Maiden Stakes. NOVICE STAKES: is confined to Retrievers which have not been placed first, second, third or fourth in an Open Stake or a Championship Stake, nor who have won two Novice Stakes prior to the closing of entries for that particular novice Stake. OPEN STAKE: is for Retrievers without restriction as to age or previous performance. In order for an Open Stake to carry championship status, the minimum number of dogs taking part in the Trial shall be eight. Other Gundog breeds may enter the above stakes but cannot be placed or receive SAHR points. This might change if the motion goes through at FTLC

Regulations & Disclaimers:
The Committee will exercise all reasonable care in conducting the trials, but it must be clearly understood that, due to the nature of the sport, competitors, spectators and officials are invited to enter at their own risk and in so doing absolve the Club, Committee and landowners from any claim whatsoever arising from loss or damage by, or to, any person or property during the course of the trials. REFRESHMENTS, CATERING AND ACCOMMODATION: Meals in the form of a light breakfast and lunches will be on sale to competitors and spectators. The meal request form will be sent out under separate cover. Liquid refreshments will be available all weekend. PRIZES: Floating Trophies for winners of Stakes and for Guns' Choices. Other prizes and certificates for places and special prizes may be awarded. RULES FOR THE FIELD TRIALS: All Dogs must be registered with KUSA before entry. Bitches in season within the precincts of the trial are forbidden Castrated dogs and spayed bitches are eligible for entry. Only those dogs actually taking part in the Field Trials are allowed at the venue. A copy of the Rules (Schedule 5C(1) will be available at the trials. Anyone on the venue at a Trial openly impugning the decision of a Judge or Judges shall render himself liable to be reported to KUSA under the provisions of KUSA Schedule 1, unless he is availing himself of Section A.10.3 of Schedule 5C (1). If the club considers the weather and or venue unfit for the holding of a Trial, the meeting may be held at a different venue or postponed from day to day until the end of the week, when the stakes that are not decided upon may be abandoned and the entry fees refunded, or a fresh draw may be made and a fresh dated fixed for the abandoned stakes. The Field Trial Committee reserves the right to change the advertised venue of the Trials if this becomes necessary due to fire, flooding, etc at the time of the event. KUSA must be informed on the first working day after the field trials. All dogs born on or after 1st September 2010 must have a microchip certificate. JUDGES HAVE FINAL DECISION. Where the Rule or Guide does not cover a particular situation, the decision will remain with the appointed Judges on the day.
