| Ms N. Redtenbacher (recvd 26/7/16) - 104 entered, 17 absent, 87 exhibited. The judging commenced at the advertised time and on the Sat. 23/7/16 it completed at 15h30 and on the Sun. 24/7/16 it completed 15h00. Well organised, well run show and I congratulate the Chairman and Committee on their efforts. Unfortunately I need to report on a biting incident which occurred in the Graduate Dog Class on Saturday – exhibit no. 133 (Vomeasternburg Bruno – ZA043369B14 – owned by Mr. A.C. Esterhuyse) which EXCO needs to be made aware of. Incident occurred whilst the Judge was checking the exhibit’s dentition. Judge asked the handler to please show him the exhibit’s dentition and whilst the Judge was leaning forward to check, the dog flew out at the judge without warning or provocation. Dog caught the Judge on the chest, ripping his shirt and leaving quite a long, superficial wound on the right side of his chest. The exhibit was immediately disqualified and asked to leave the ring. This exhibit was also subsequently withdrawn from the BST on Monday, 25th July, 2016, as the Judge refused to judge this exhibit for a Breed Suitability Test. In my opinion the above mentioned exhibit poses a serious threat as no warning signs are shown by the dog before the aggression occurs. | |||
